Important Announcement about Homework…..

A short note regarding homework to all of my students.  At this time, I believe we all realize that everything you do is homework because you are at home when you are doing it.  However, during the week, Monday through Friday you are missing class.  Each normal schoolday I see each of you for approximately 55 minutes.   By the time you come into the room, locate your seat, and stop socializing – I am left with about 45 minutes of the 55 minutes.  I am not assigning anything that should take longer than that amount of time.  Many of you get done with the assignments quickly and are up at the front of the room asking me what can you do next!  Please just complete your assignments during school hours, (9:30 – 4:15) and spend no more time on my assignments than you would in my classroom.  Ask for assistance if you need it and keep up, when you get behind that is when you are up all night doing assignments that should have been done during school hours.  If you can not get something done in a reasonable amount of time, you need help – call me.  If you can’t complete something in a class period, take a break – there is always tomorrow.  Thank you and have a wonderful week!

March 26, 2020: COVID School Shutdown Update

Good Afternoon,See the source image

Just a quick note, to keep you updated.  School is now closed until April 24th.  This means that we will all be experts at this distance learning by then, right?  I will continue to be available during this time and ask that you remain positive and focused on school for several hours of your day.  Also, please take care not to become ill yourself.  Stay at home, wash your hands, and do your schoolwork.  I truly miss seeing all of you.

P.S. –    One thing I want to note, if I refer you to Mrs. Harris for a log in issue, it is not because I don’t want to help you.  It is because I can not help you.  I have posted all instructions provided to me for you to log in to the sites we are using during this time.  Clever and Freckle have given some of us some issue, Mrs. Harris is able to help you better than I.  If I am able to fix a problem, I will absolutely do so but I am not always able to fix your problem.  Thank you for understanding and being patient.  CM

FRECKLE Information 3/26/2020

There are 3 new assignments posted on Freckle today.  Please get to them as you can.  Keep a paper and pencil next to you as you work through these assignments and write down questions you may have.  IMPORTANT:   Please log in to Freckle through Clever for the least amount of difficulty!

Good Morning Pine Mountain – Let’s Make it Great

I would like to apologize for the issues with the meeting yesterday afternoon.  I was able to successfully meet with several students yesterday, not sure what happened for those not able to enter the room.   Mrs. Grindstaff and I worked together yesterday on the problems we had both incurred.   We are still working on a solution and thank you all for your patience.  Please remember that I am available by Zoom or by Facetime today.  If you need me please just let me know.

***I will be trying a Teams room later today, hopefully!  If you are interested and do not mind attempting the log in process, please do.  Trying again is the only way I know to fix this issue.***
