Median: the number in the middle, if there are two, find mean of the two numbers
Mode: the number that appears most often in a data set, there may not be one or there can be more than one
Range: the number of units between the largest number and the smallest number.

****One more time, when working with groups of numbers, rewrite them in order least to greatest first. This makes analyzing the numbers much easier. Statistics is about looking at the numbers and being able to make an inference about the data. Remember you are not solving any problems right now, you are learning to put the data order and to create different charts that will allow the data to make sense.****
Let me know if you need assistance or have questions, I will be able to do Zoom video conferencing this morning from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
Remember to send your work via text or e-mail.
Good Morning Math 6: March 26, 2020

I can learn the appropriate steps to organize a data set to analyze the data and interpret its meaning through the completion of the Baseball Statistics Activity.
At some point today, please slide over to USATestprep and take the short quiz on statistics (Statistics Quiz). It is due tomorrow afternoon.
Please continue to work on the baseball statistics activity. Remember that I have placed examples of the different types of graphs you are to be constructing on the Tuesday section of this blog. Before you begin the work, please refer to the blog for some help.
Remember that for statistics, you are simply ordering numbers and calculating mean, median, mode, and range. There are several ways in which you may see this data represented on a test and this week’s activities are covering all of the possibilities.
*************************************************************************
We are working on the Teams issue here on my end and I will let everyone when it is repaired. A few students were able to get into the chat so I know it works, just need to get the bugs out!
